JOB SUMMARY: Provide Engineering support
for wafer level packaging development and production operations. The
ideal candidate for this position will have a thorough understanding of the
principals involved in semiconductor wafer processing and a strong background
in semiconductor electrical engineering. The WLP Engineer is responsible for
identifying, evaluating, and implementing changes which will enhance the
performance, reduce the manufacturing cost, and improve the quality of wafer
level packaged devices. The WLP engineer is also an integral part of the
manufacturing team providing manufacturing support on a daily basis.
ESSENTIAL
DUTIES:
1.Implement Chip Scale
Packaging technology using internal and external production operations.
2.Oversee the
deployment and production ramp of CSP operations.
3.Expand CSP
process technologies and capabilities for future product growth.
4.Perform revisions,
enhancement and introduction of existing and new test methodologies to improve
yield success ratio, reduce manufacturing cost and reduce test time.
5.Provide daily
manufacturing support to achieve the company’s manufacturing targets.
POSITION
RESPONSIBILITIES:
-Identify and evaluate product
design changes to improve yield and enhance performance of the existing product
line. This will involve monitoring product performance on an on-going basis and
driving to meet the overall company goals in the area of cost, quality and
electrical performance.
-Work with Process and Equipment
Engineers to support production by trouble shooting issues and recommending
corrective action. This involves maintaining datasheet documentation,
production travelers, datasheets, FMEAs, and process control plans.
-Assist in Engineering Product and Process
improvement studies by assisting in the DOE’s, evaluating the results, and
drawing conclusions from those experiments.
-Work with customers to avoid quality or
performance issues and to resolve those that occur.
-Establish good channels of communication for
all shifts and support the WLP team in meeting development schedules.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
-BS/MS in Electrical Engineering
OTHER SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
-Must be well organized, self-directed,
self-starter, highly motivated, proactive problem solver with the ability to get
results without owning resources and possessing direct authority
-Must be willing to work within a team
environment in order to meet Corporate goals
-Familiarity with Semiconductor production
regarding Test and Process CSP
-Experienced problem solving methodologies such
as DOE, 8D or PDCA
-Excellent
communication skills and aggressive in driving change
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
5 – 10 years industry experience in
a similar role
