Brief Description - responsible for the development, installation, documentation and support of the manufacturing test for the optical networking products. Specific focus is on PCBA/Functional Test.

You will be working with leading edge products that are enabled by: world class Photonic Integrated Circuit technology, sophisticated optics, custom ASICs, coherent DSP, advanced firmware and control algorithms.

Essential Functions and Key Responsibilities:

  Responsible for the development, installation,   documentation and support of the PCBA/Functional testing of next generation Line Module.

  In this role, you'll be part of a core team working on flagship products with cutting-edge technologies

  Capabilities to develop required test plans/specifications

  Development and support of automated manufacturing test infrastructure

  Develop VB.NET Software to automate the test execution

  Provide fault isolation and identification capability to manufacturing technical staff

  Responsible for refining process and strategy to drive failures earlier and then out of the manufacturing process

  Responsible for statistical analysis of product test parameters and equipment measurements

  Partner with engineering staff to define and implement detailed testability requirements

  Key member of cross functional NPI team

  Key member of cross functional defect reduction team

  Responsible for continual maturing of test infrastructure

  Be able to work independently and prioritize tasks on a weekly/monthly level

Minimum Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  Working experience in products with hardware, firmware and software elements

  Practical experience defining test criteria based on product specification, error of measurement

  Proven ability to develop automated test solutions and deploy to remote manufacturing locations

  Knowledge of databases like SQL Server, Oracle or MySQL

  Proficient in VB.NET or C++ and Visual Studio 2008 or higher.

  The ideal candidate is analytic, detail-oriented, with great quantitative analysis skills, is self-motivated, a great team leader, able to pro-actively communicate with all employees and work well in a fast paced environment.

  Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.

  This position requires a strong understanding of manufacturing controls and process flow

Education / Experience (required or desired)

  BSEE/MSEE or related field required

  5-8 year experience with networking industry related manufacturing test development

•Knowledge of fiber optical components/modules/systems, preferably in the communications industry

•Proven ability to develop automated test solutions and deploy to remote manufacturing

•Proficient in VB.NET or C++ or Visual Studio
