Position Summary

The Sr. Electrical Project Engineer is responsible for the design, development, and implementation of new products and/or provides engineering support for existing products. This individual performs project management and coordinates with others in R&E, Marketing, and Manufacturing for strategic new products. He/she develops project schedules and budgets and ensures compliance with both. The person in this role supervises other engineers and subordinates as needed t*ensure completion of assigned projects and may also function as Project Team Leader.

Objectives
-The Sr. Electrical Project Engineer will be expected to develop major firmware modules for new products, legacy products, and validation test scripts on ARM and 8051 development platforms. This individual will also participate on product development teams and be expected to contribute by
*Helping develop schedules, providing deliverables for prototype releases, and providing overall project status.
*Creating/Modifying new firmware modules written in Embedded C and Assembly
*Creating product validation test procedures and test reports.
*Training and working with technicians on product development tasks.
*Assisting with design validation testing and documentation for new and existing products. Validation testing will include creating fixtures and Software test platforms.
*Demonstrating sound embedded coding techniques.
-The Sr. Electrical Project Engineer will be expected to:
*Become familiar with our Coding standards, Work Order process, product offerings, and project development process.
*Engage with other product development team members with technical insight and recommendations as it pertains to the project.
Requirements
Education:
-Bachelor of Science or Master of Science degree in one of the following disciplines: Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering
-Position will be required to work with multi-function development teams. Candidate must possess strong communication skills.
Experience:
-7 years in Engineering product design and development. (5 years of experience for candidates with a Master of Science degree.)
-5 years of embedded C or Assembly programming
-2 years of LabView experience
-Manufacturing environment background preferred
Other preferred skills: Experience with Python, experience using Jira, C#. Specific skills and experience in addition to those listed above may be required for specific positions.
