The Sr Manager Enterprise Applications will be reporting
directly to the Director of Business Intelligence and will play a key role in
driving the overall BI strategy & roadmap. The primary responsibility of
the role includes managing the Enterprise Data Warehouse landscape that
comprises of SAP BW/HANA with emphasis on Finance and HR. The candidate is
expected to oversee the progress for all projects within SAP BI Finance and HR
BW areas and effectively manage resources to deliver reliable and timely
results. The initial expectation of the individual will be to support SAP ERP
transformation program focusing specifically on data modeling and building the
DW layer leveraging the right combination of BW/HANA, Enterprise HANA and Sql EDW for Finance and HR areas.
The candidate should
have BI business analysis experience across multiple functions (like Finance
and HR). He/She should have strong knowledge of SAP
BW standard business content and ECC data sources/standard and custom
extractors. Should have experience with conceptual, logical, and physical data
modeling. Experience with SAP BW on HANA, SAP BPC, SAP
BOBJ tools and Data Services is key to this role.
Responsibilities
Include:
·
Delivery & Process
Management
·
Direct the progress of
all projects within the Finance and HR portfolio (SAP BW/BOBJ,SAP BPC) working
with PM’s, business stakeholders and BI/DW team
·
Ensure alignment of
the client project portfolio with the strategic plan
·
Provide guidance on
project delivery approach, defining success criteria, communication plans,
resource planning etc
·
Review status reports
and analyze results to effectively troubleshoot problem areas and mitigate
project risks
·
Manage &
prioritize production support work with the business
·
Work with other IT
peer managers across infrastructure, security and other teams to communicate
support expectations and align resourcing.
·
Conduct implementation
reviews and create a recommendations report in order to identify successful and
unsuccessful project elements
·
Communicate project
management standards and techniques to the appropriate staff
·
Work with the BI
solution architect and other delivery managers on maturing BI processes and set
up of standards/templates.
·
Good understanding of
SDLC and a passion to move the team towards a more process oriented
environment.

Resource & Vendor
Management:
·
Effectively manage
resources across production support and projects.
·
Manage vendor RFP’s,
selection and delivery on projects.
·
Manage SOW processing
and on-boarding logistics
·
Work with product
vendors on product roadmaps and ensuring that we are choosing the right tools
and approaches (working with the Solution Architect).
·
Effectively Delegate
tasks and responsibilities to appropriate personnel and drive accountability
·
Identify and resolve
issues and conflicts within and between various project team members
·
People Development:
·
Focus on people
development, providing continuous feedback and perform periodic formal reviews
·
Assess and plan for
training needed for the team
Essential Skills and
Knowledge
• Bachelor's Degree
with 10-15 years of overall experience with 5 + years on SAP BI.
• Over 3 years of
people management experience is a must. Strong people development focus is
desired.
• PMP Certification is
a big plus
• Broad knowledge of
BI/DW space and current trends is a big plus
• Good working
knowledge or SAP BW, SAP BPC,HANA, Data Services is
essential
• Experience with SAP
transformation programs is a big plus
• Excellent
communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to lead broad
audience through technical concepts in an easy to understand manner
• Must have excellent
time management and organizational skills. Must be able to manage multiple
tasks and projects
• Must be results
oriented and demonstrate a positive attitude showing adaptability, flexibility,
and resourcefulness
• Strong leadership
and collaborative skills to work with different levels of business leadership,
business users, and functional teams
