groups, process engineering teams and with suppliers to identify, track and
resolve customer and internal quality issues.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
• The scope includes the analysis of product returns from customers, evaluating
the viability of return and leading any corrective action required. In
addition, it involves resolution of customer initiated corrective actions.
• This role is critical to driving quality improvements. The successful
candidate must make significant contributions to preventing quality issues,
decreasing customer returns, and increasing outgoing quality levels.
• Expedient and effective hands-on diagnosis of customer issues, on products
(RMAs, and customer requests), and from audit results.
• As a part of diagnosis, must evaluate customer data/inputs, electrical
results, fab and assembly data as needed to get to root cause.
• Must assist in evaluation of devices as needed on bench set ups to diagnose
customer reported issues.
• Must understand and help resolve fab
and assembly process related issues.
• Ensure that corrective actions are effective in eliminating repeat offenses.
• Report on progress internally within the company and externally to the
customer in a timely manner.
• Analyze Failure Analysis and supplier data to identify ways to prevent
quality issues in future. Must be able to come up with and implement preventive
and continuous improvement actions. Must make technical contributions to
resolution of such actions.
• Coordinate problem solving for the
wafer fab, using established techniques such as 8D, Fish Bone, and other
quality analytical methods.
• Scrutinize and help improve new product development process.
• Review and gate NPI (new product development) process checklists for
fulfillment of deliverables.
• Provide inputs into DFM and FMEA activities. Design for Manufacturability and
Failure Mode and Effects Analysis
• Coordinate with Design teams to ensure effective remediation of issues.
• Work with Test, Product and Design team with a focus on maximization of
effective test coverage to the datasheet.
• Assist in ISO and other certification activities. Responsible for
development, documentation, implementation, and maintenance of statistical
process controls, inspection sampling plans and procedures, and related quality
systems.
