development for a wide range of discrete semiconductor products. This
position will require a good understanding of the principles
involved in semiconductor wafer processing and a strong background in
semiconductor device physics. The Product Engineer is responsible for
identifying, evaluation and implementing design changes which will enhance the
performance, reduce the manufacturing cost, and improve the quality of the
current family of discrete semiconductor devices. In addition, this
person will work with the design group to evaluate and implement new designs to
move our products to the Best in Class.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Work with Design Engineer to create and evaluate new product
designs that will bring our product family to a “Best in Class” level.
2. Identify and evaluate product design changes to improve yield
and enhance performance of the existing product line. This will involve
monitoring product performance on an on-going basis and driving to meet the
overall company goals in the area of cost, quality and electrical performance.
3. Work with Process
Engineers to support current production by trouble shooting process yield
issues and recommending corrective action. This involves maintaining product
datasheet documentation, production travelers, datasheets, FMEAs, and process
control plans.
4. Assist in Engineering
Product and Process improvement studies by assisting in the design of
experiments, evaluating the results, and drawing conclusions from those
experiments.
5. Work with customers to
avoid quality or performance issues and to resolve those that occur.
