Job
Description
This
is a principal level architect position in the DFE development team,
engaged in developing single chip solutions for Remote Radio Heads.
In
this role you will work closely with our Marketing, ASIC, SW, and HW
engineering teams and our System test team with a "cradle to
grave" charter for the high speed baseband interface.
Key
responsibilities include:

Translate market requirements into technical requirements.

Define architecture for high speed baseband interface, switching fabric and
interconnect with rest of system

Define system hardware software partitioning to achieve low latency, high
throughput and high degree of flexibility.

Drive system engineering aspects from product conception through
implementation.

Support product bringup with heavy emphasis on
lab debug, performance and functional qualification.

Define Product conformance/qualification test plans and criteria, support
testing with timely resolution of issues found.

Oversee and support interoperability engagements and field trials, with
timely resolution of issues found.

Provide technical marketing support
Job
Requirements - MSEE and a minimum of 10 years industry experience
-
Expert knowledge high speed serial communication and networking over
optical and copper.

Expert knowledge of precision timing, clock recovery and distribution.
-
Experience with CPRI, OBSAI, 10GE, 1588, MPLS

Experience with internal SoC Interconnect.

Hardware vs. Firmware partitioning background
-
Hardware packet accelerators, switching and distribution experience.

DMA, hardware FIFO's and efficient h/w, s/w handoff.

Platform design considerations: eg. optical module selection, PCB layout considerations,
etc.
The Candidate
10+ to 15 years of experience
Minimum Education - Master's Degree
