Description This position is responsible for directly supporting our customers’ design-in and production activities for low-power audio amplifier and signal-processing ICs that serve the portable- and consumer-audio markets. Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.  Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering and have 6+ years of experience in an engineering role supporting audio amplifier products and customers.

Responsibilities:

 

•Develop reference designs and demonstration platforms for low-power audio-amplifier and signal-processing products, including conceptualization, part selection, schematic entry, layout management, hardware validation, and release to production.

•Provide direct engineering support for low-power audio-amplifier and signal-processing products.

•Collaborate with internal design and product-test organizations on targeted bench-level data collection and circuit evaluation.

•Author, review, and update application notes, white papers, and reference-design manuals.

•Develop firmware and RTL modules to enable device evaluation platforms and customer design-ins.

•Write, customize, and execute software scripts for targeted data collection to facilitate customer application development.

•Work closely with external customers, field engineers and sales reps, and internal systems, design, marketing, and product-test organizations.

•Travel approximately 2 – 4 weeks per year, both domestically and abroad to support to our key customers and design opportunities.

•Collaborate with our marketing, systems, and design engineering teams to define our next-generation audio products.

•Autonomously manage customer- and project-related priorities.

Qualifications include:

•Strong theoretical foundation and experience in power electronics, Class-D amplifiers, and related system-level design and debug

•Design and testing for electromagnetic radiation compliance

•Digital audio signal processing algorithm configuration

•Lab, problem solving, and system-level electrical-circuit debugging

•Audio-testing techniques and measurement equipment

•Firmware development for C8051 architecture devices

•FPGA-targeted Verilog

•System-level simulation

•Analog, digital, and mixed-signal circuits and system-level design fundamentals

•Schematic/layout design, implementation, design bring-up, and production-test development

•Digital audio interface technologies and specifications
