Purpose of Position
·
Provide technical leadership for specific new product development programs,
·
Design and development of industrial electronic assemblies for fuel dispensers
and related applications incorporating secure payment, multimedia and control
technologies.
II.
Key Responsibilities
·
Development program technical lead for electronics and electro-mechanical
subsystem content, using internal and external resources,
·
Single technical owner accountable for product delivery
(technical specifications, quality, and performance),
·
Work with various divisions of the company or with outside development partners
for concept through release of innovative new products,
Work with sustaining
engineering division to support obsolescence and VAVE re-designs for long life
cycle electronics
Ideal candidates will have:
•Bachelor of Science degree
in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering,
•MSME or MSEE degree is a
plus,
•7+ years
experience relevant work experience.
The ideal candidate will
have experience in the following areas. It is not expected that
the candidate will have experience in all these areas, but will be willing and
able to quickly develop experience as needed.
•Ability to interpret and
distill marketing and customer requirements in order to generate clear,
structured engineering requirements, design specifications, and action plans,
•Ability to provide
technical leadership and problem resolution for development programs,
•Extensive experience in
product development including development, testing, software and system
integration, release, cross-functional and international team interaction, and
on-time execution,
•Specific proficiency in
the integration of hardware, software and mechanical subsystems,
•Experience in assembly
techniques and production processes,
•A background that includes
detailed design, system integration, product release, and post-release
monitoring,
•Ability to switch between
electronics or mechanical development and program technical leadership,
•Proficient with
microcontroller designs and digital circuit designs including but not limited
to 32 bit microprocessors and related peripherals,
•Ability to use hand tools,
•Tools proficiency,
electrical: schematic entry, digital timing closure, FMEA, signal
integrity and analog circuit simulation,
•Tools proficiency,
mechanical: Creo or Pro-Engineer,
•Tools proficiency,
general: Computer (Excel, Visio, MS Project, etc.) and configuration
management tools,
•Experience with secure
electronics enclosure design and methodology is a plus,
•Familiarity with payment
data encryption methods and associated semiconductors is a plus,

May involve limited domestic and international travel, less than 20%.
