JOB SUMMARY:
This position reports to the General Manager and is responsible for leading the Engineering staff to the next level of excellence. It includes responsibility for introduction of new technology processes and innovation that support yield improvement, quality improvement, and cost reductions. This position has a key influence within the organization on our innovation, quality culture, cost competitiveness and customer focus.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Provide a positive working environment and leadership for an effective Engineering team
2. Ensure module-level roadmaps meet/exceed targets
3. Provide technical direction for innovation and effective problem solving
4. Technical mentorship of all engineers
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop strategic planning for and direction of all Engineering activities
- Provide technical direction and guidance, as well as hands on project management, for all engineering functions
- Quality improvement and maintenance of ISO requirements
- Cost reduction by evaluating alternative solutions
- Work across the organization to improve yield, cost, cycle time and new products introduction
- Mentor and lead the engineering personnel
- Maintains engineering staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees
- Maintains engineering staff job results by coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results
- Maintains engineering operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing project, operational, and personnel policies and procedures
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor degree or higher in Engineering related field (Physics, Material Science, Electronics)
Minimum 5 years of semiconductor process / equipment engineering experience
Minimum 3 years of experience managing in a semiconductor fab
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
Master degree or PhD highly preferred
10 years of semiconductor process/equipment engineering experience
5 years experience managing in a semiconductor fab
OTHER SKILLS REQUIREMENTS:
Excellent comprehension of SPC systems, FMEA methodology, DOE, and Failure Analysis techniques, etc.
Strong influential leadership skills
Excellent interpersonal skills, energetic and self-starter
Outstanding communication skills both written and verbal with a demonstrated ability to communicate well with all levels of the organization
Solid problem solving and excellent analytical skills
Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and commitments
