Seeking a global leader to help drive Manufacturing Excellence
working across multiple semiconductor factories with other capital efficiency
team leaders (CET+), advanced module engineering (AME), industrial engineering,
procurement, and business development teams. This individual will be
asked to drive alignment across the 300mm fabs as
well as our alliance partners and business development teams on key decisions
impacting capital efficiency. The Capital Efficiency Leader will be
responsible for working with the Chemical Mechanical Polish (CMP), Plating, and
Cleans Manufacturing and Engineering communities in setting the tool direction
and decision making across all three modules, working with the suppliers and
procurement to measure performance, and driving continuous improvements as the
financial lead. Initially, the focus will be on tooling but ultimately will
include responsibility for total capital efficiency connected with the full
build out (non-tooling) of all factories. Additional tasks will include
assessing the key capital management processes for deficiencies, making
recommendations to address issues, establishing buy-in, deploying, and managing
consistently across locations / functions as an integral part of this role
where it makes sense.
Specific Responsibilities: Global leadership role, spanning
technical, operational and profitability / financial analysis
Provide financial leadership in the execution of robust tool
selection for the global Capital Performance Committee (CPC), Capital
Justification Review (CJR) for Site-based capital management and Manufacturing
Council. This includes tool performance management and continuous process
improvement to meet capital affordability requirements and challenges
Partner with AME leads to develop technical roadmaps and tool
strategies ensuring both technical and commercial/profitability tradeoffs for
tool set
Provide financial leadership in the tool and facilities systems
selection for both new and used equipment to meet module specific capability
and capacity requirements & best practices
Ensure module-level roadmaps meet spend targets, productivity
targets and extendibility
Provide standardized financial methodologies that communicate
detailed business analysis to support proposals and business cases; interface
with key site and business stakeholders globally to ensure detailed and robust
analysis and alternatives are generated in order to make sound business
decisions
Collaborate with AME and procurement team leads to prepare and
deliver executive ready financial proposals and presentations to high level
leaders within Capital Productivity and Manufacturing Council
Prepare and deliver detailed financial requirements and needs to
suppliers in partnership with procurement; drive clear financial direction and
approach with suppliers
Interface closely with Fab Operations and TD personnel as key
stakeholders ensuring all needs and requirements are strongly incorporated into
strategy and detailed tool / capital efficiency planning
Lead outreach and financial activities to identify and develop
best practices which will give us competitive advantage with the best model
possible
Required Qualifications:
B.S. Degree in Physics, Material Science, Engineering, Chemistry
or other relevant area
Minimum of 12 years of semiconductor financial or
process/equipment engineering experience
Minimum of 5 years of experience managing in a semiconductor fab
or within a technology development organization hands on working with tools
technical or financial information
Excellent interpersonal skills, energetic and self-starter
Demonstrated ability to work well within a global matrixed team or environment
Outstanding communication skills - both written and verbal
Demonstrated ability to communicate well with all levels of the
organization and experience in working with external constituencies
Strong organizational skills; demonstrated ability to manage
multiple tasks simultaneously and able to react to shifting priorities to meet
business needs
Excellent analytical skills
Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and commitments
Able to travel domestically and internationally up to 30% of the
time
Experience in wet process (CMP and/or plating and cleans) technology(45nm or below)
Preferred Qualifications:
M.S. or Ph.D. in Materials Science, Engineering, or other
relevant disciplines
Direct experience in advanced semiconductor device manufacturers
or foundries
Direct experience working with tool suppliers
MBA
