Digital
Engineer (ASIC, CPLD, FPGA)
Digital Engineer conducts
research, design, development, and testing of digital processing hardware such
as computer chips (ASIC, CPLD, FPGA), circuit boards, computer systems, and
electrical components.
•Designs new or modifies
existing products, develops technical specifications for production, analyzes
hardware configuration and processing solutions, and tests hardware conformance
to specifications.
•Design test equipment and write
testing procedures for specific products or programs to ensure adherence to
specifications at minimum testing cost.
•Generate
software for automatic equipment.
Qualifications:
•BS or MS in Electrical Engineering or
related field along with 1-2 years digital engineering experience.
•1+ years hardware debugging which
includes use of Signal Generator, Logic Analyzer, Digital Oscilloscope, JTAG
and Imbedded FPGA Debugging tools;
•Ability to obtain a security clearance.
Preferred
Skills:
•Knowledge
of Field Programmable Gate Array (FPGA) devices.
•Knowledge
of electronics, CAD and moderately complex software and procedures.
•Knowledge of design and
application of test equipment, test methods, and procedures.
•Ability to manage multiple
projects simultaneously, under frequently changing priorities.
•Basic computer and software
preparation.
•Good verbal and written
communication skills.
