Description
These positions are part of the Pre-Silicon Emulation /
Post-Silicon Validation team that is focused on bringing the leading edge Mixed
Signal Audio chips to market. Our Audio chips are focused on enabling an
incredible audio experience with highly integrated platform level functionality
in terms of performance while driving the industry with lowest power
consumption and highest efficiency.
You will be responsible for :
•Design and develop a constrained random regression framework in
C/assembly to validate DSP cores on the bench
•Develop tests in assembly to validate multiple core
architectures, parallelism (independent/parallel computing), pipelining, shared
memory, instruction set
•Define validation plans, implement tests and execute in the lab
on pre-silicon FPGA platform and post-silicon validation platforms
Qualifications
•The posting is targeted for mid-level to senior level
candidates. You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially
considered for this position. Preferred experiences are in addition to the
minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top
candidates.
Minimum Qualifications
•BS + 6 years or MS + 3 years in Electrical Engineering, Computer
Engineering or Computer Science
•Requires 3+ years of experience in working with embedded processors
and development of embedded firmware using C/Assembly
•Strong experience with assembly language programming on any
processor
•Strong understanding of processor core architecture
•Strong understanding of digital processing systems and peripherals
such as memory interfaces, DMA/Interrupt controller, clocking, I2C/SPI, bootloaders etc.
•Self-motivation, problem solving and attention to detail are
highly valued, as you will need to understand silicon, board and software
interactions.
Additional Preferred Experience
•Hands-on lab test/debug experience during pre and/or post
silicon validation with scopes, analyzers and general lab gear.
•Solid electrical engineering knowledge in digital signal
processing and audio engineering (analog and digital).
•Experience with scripting or programming languages such as
MATLAB, C, C++, TCL, PERL, PYTHON or similar.
