Seeking qualified candidates for a Sr ABAP Developer position to be located in CO. In this position the candidate will become a member of the WRIEF (Workflow, Reports, Interfaces, Enhancements and Forms) SAP ABAP development team to support the SAP implementation
The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:
• Support, maintenance and debugging of productive systems and issues
• Evaluate, interpret and understand Functional Specifications for highly complex custom development.
• Construct Technical Specification for a solution design which will meet or exceed the functional requirements as described in the Functional Specification.
• Develop (coding) of the design as described in the Technical Specification.
• Technical unit testing of the developed solution and performing peer code reviews of team member solutions.
• Provide technical consulting to internal customers and functional SME (subject matter experts).
REQUIREMENTS:
• Minimum of 5 plus years of ABAP development in SAP ECC version 4.6 or higher
• Bachelors Degree (Computer Science preferred)
• In depth experience in at least one SAP business module (SD, PP, WM, MM, QM, FI, CO, etc.) and some working knowledge in 2 or more.
• Excellent hands on experience in all types of ABAP development (reports, enhancements, interfaces, function modules and module pool).
• Good understanding of ABAP objects (Object Oriented concepts) with hands on working knowledge being preferred.
• Exposure to BADI’s, Proxies, switch framework, IDOCs, and Web Dynpro’s is required with hands on working knowledge preferred.
• Must be able to describe a proper software development lifecycle and should have experience working in a structured development environment.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills are required
• Must be able to work in a diverse environment under aggressive timelines.
• Ability to mentor peers
• Exposure or working knowledge of SAP Mobility technologies (SAPUI5, SUP, Syclo) a plus.
• Solid understanding of software development cycles
5+ to 7 years of experience
Minimum Education - Bachelor's Degree
Willingness to Travel - Occasionally
Skills and Certifications  (required)
How many years exp. with ABAP Objects? In addition to ABAP development experience.
Functional requirements with business group and the ability to technically translate that and share
SAP modules – how many different modules have they been working in and the number of years in each.
Experience with the different available enhancement capabilities with SAP
