Nurse Manager – Same Day Surgery Unit, Minor Procedure Area & Infusion Suite

We are seeking a transformational Nurse Manager for the Same Day Surgery Unit, Minor Procedure Area and Infusion Therapy suite who is committed to developing and implementing new initiatives, and is dedicated to share in the excitement and challenges of leading “best in class” care to our community.

Job Description:  The Nurse Manger of the Same Day Surgery Unit, Minor Procedure Area and Infusion Suite reports to the Director of Surgical Services and works closely with the director to develop and implement initiatives for growth and quality, and patient care enhancements within the department.  Ensures that departmental services meet the needs of the patient and family, and that care is provided in compliance with all regulatory agency mandates, standards of practice, and policies and procedures. The Nurse Manager is responsible for 24/7 operations, quality improvement outcomes and activities of the department and ensures positive patient, family, physician and staff satisfaction metrics.  Assists in preparation of annual department budget, and determines staffing, equipment/supply needs within budgetary constraints.  The Nurse Manager develops a strategic plan and vision for the department which aligns with site & system organizational goals and works collaboratively with the multi-disciplinary team, labor and others to promote employee engagement and a healthy work environment.

Required Qualifications:  Current NYS registration as a Registered Professional Nurse. Bachelor of Science – Nursing (BSN). 5 years clinical RN experience. 1 year clinical leadership.  Matriculation for Master’s degree within 5 years.

Preferred Qualifications:   Master’s degree in Nursing, Healthcare, Business Administration preferred.
