Reliability Engineer
SUMMARY:
Evaluates, from a
reliability standpoint, the materials, properties, electronic circuit designs
and techniques used in existing and new product designs. Recommends
design improvements and test methods using statistical process control
procedures for achieving required levels of product reliability.
Essential Duties
and Responsibilities
Advises design engineering on selection, application and testing of electronic
components and systems to continually improve product reliability.
Determines reliability requirements of components and systems to achieve
company, customer and governmental agency reliability objectives.
Develops new techniques and analytical tools to assure the early identification
of potential problems with new products, packaging, processes, and product
reliability.
Makes recommendations for changes and improvements in the selection and
application of all components used in complex system designs.
Proposes changes in the existing design process and procedures to improve
system, product and/or process reliability.
Interfaces and collaborates with Product Development Engineering, Global Supply
Chain, and Manufacturing Engineering on all reliability matters.
Conducts analysis, generates
and presents reports to technical, managerial and executive audiences including
product MTBF and MTTF.
Work independently and as a
member of interdisciplinary teams.
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree or higher
in Engineering or equivalent work experience required.
5+ year minimum overall
experience with direct experience in Reliability Engineering. Desired
experience level is minimum 8 years overall experience with substantial
experience in Reliability Engineering.
* Product Regulatory Experience (FCC 47 CFR Part 15, other EMC,
Product safety (UL) or Radio Spectrum Related
testing preferred.
High level computer
proficiency to include experience with data analytics, ERP systems and
contemporary reporting and analytical tools.
High level team,
collaborative, and communications skills (interpersonal, written &
presentation).
U.S. citizenship or
permanent work authorization for the USA required
