RF Design Engineer

This position reports to the Electrical Engineering Manager and will execute the design and development of RF modules/circuitry for satellite antenna and receiver applications.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Design RF circuits for wireless and satellite communication for use in satellite tracking antennas, receivers, or accessories.

Design, develop, and release to manufacturing LNAs, LNBs, Stacker/Destackers, and other RF modules and subsystems.

Schematic capture, simulation, layout and testing.

Develop module and product test plans as needed to ensure quality products.

Assist in the development of new products and product enhancements for improved performance and cost effectiveness.

Works as part of professional engineering and cross functional teams.

Document all circuit and system designs, specifications and test plans.

QUALIFICATIONS:

BSEE, MSEE preferred.

5-10 years’ experience in the design and development of RF microwave/millimeter wave products for satellite/wireless communications applications.

Experience with design of high performance circuits/modules for LNAs, PAs, phase-shifters, and others in the Ku and Ka bands.

Experience with digital communications, analog and digital signal processing and RF circuit design for embedded products.

Solid understanding of processes required to design cost effective system solutions for consumer electronic products including design validation test planning.

Experience with RF test equipment such as spectrum/network analyzers, noise figure measurement equipment, and simulation tools such as ADS.

The applicant must meet eligibility requirements for access to military contract regulated information.

Must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident.
