Job Description:
Provide process
engineering production-line support to maintain product throughput. This
includes problem solving associated with machine downtime, product defects and
safety issues. Job requires bias for action, quick learning,
self-motivation, and interpersonal and project management skills. In addition,
provide engineering leadership in the identification and development of new
automation equipment and processes to enhance the productivity, ergonomics and
safety in our oil filter production operation. This includes the design
and fabrication of in-house automation equipment, and the specification
development, design review and validation of purchased equipment.
Professional Experience:
3-5 Years of
Automation Design and Project Management Experience in a High Volume
Manufacturing Setting.
Technical Abilities:
Industrial Control System Design (AB Hardware Preferred)
Ability to both Read and Create Electrical Schematics
Knowledge of Motion Control, Induction and DC Motor Control
Knowledge of Pneumatic Actuator Control and Relay Logic
Knowledge of Machine Guarding Systems and Power Distribution
Competent in Allen Bradley PLC Programming (Control Logix, SLC,
PLC 5)
Working Knowledge of Mechanical Systems as they Apply
to Automation
Experienced with Automated Assembly Equipment
Proficient in Project Management
Fact Based Problem Solving Skills (Six Sigma BlackBelt
or GreenBelt Preferred)
Lean Manufacturing Techniques Desirable
Strong Computer Skills (Microsoft Office, Microsoft Windows,
Programming a Plus)
AutoCAD Skills Preferred (Electrical Schematics)
