AVP & Actuary, Life Inforce
SUMMARY
This role is an integral part of the Life Inforce Department, with
responsibility for identifying, analyzing, and executing inforce actions on the
Universal Life and Term products.
RESPONSIBILITIES
•Chair the Life Interest Rate Committee; own crediting rate
strategy and analysis
•Lead development of Inforce reviews
•Collaborate with people throughout the organization to identify
potential inforce actions
•Analyze impact of actions by projecting financials in AXIS and Polysystems
•Analyze experience study results and recommend assumptions to use
in inforce projections
•Develop a deep understanding of Life inforce financials and
drivers of profitability
•Proactively identify, manage, and implement process improvements;
•Assist in regulatory filings as necessary
•Monitor industry regulatory developments
•Support corporate initiatives
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
•Fellow of the Society of Actuaries or ASA with commensurate
experience
•7+ years actuarial experience
•BA/BS Degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics or
related major
•Knowledgeable in GAAP, Statutory and Tax financial reporting
requirements
•Proficient in actuarial systems such as AXIS or MG-ALFA
•Advanced use of Excel
•Demonstrated leadership ability; team player
•Excellent written and oral communication skills
•Ability to manage concurrent deadlines and multiple priorities in
an organized manner
•Detail and hands-on oriented, with strong problem solving and
analytical skills
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
•10+ years actuarial experience
•Prior life insurance experience
•Proficient in GAAP, Statutory and Tax financial reporting
requirements for term and universal life insurance
•Experience presenting results to senior management
•Excellent project management skills
Base Salary - $140,000 to $185,000
